Proudly Giving Back to Teachers, Support Professionals, and Students in Okaloosa County
Since 1994, Titan Technologies has delivered Total Program Management (TPM) and enterprise IT services and telecommunications support to the Okaloosa County School District (OCSD) in Florida. As part of our community presence, Titan Technologies is proud to give back to OCSD by funding the following events:
OCSD Teacher of the Year (TOY) Banquet
At this year’s banquet, the OCSD Teacher of the Year award was presented to Royal Preston, who teaches Carpentry and Building Trades at Okaloosa Technical College. Many other deserving teachers were also honored and celebrated at this banquet for their accomplishments in and out of the classroom, and for the impact they each have made on the students they serve.
OCSD Educational Support Professional of the Year (ESPY) Breakfast
At this year’s breakfast, the ESPY was awarded to Shawna Crist, Library Assistant at Plew Elementary School. Ms. Crist is a former Teacher of the Year at Baker School, Teacher of the Year at Bluewater Elementary, and Teacher of the Year for the OCSD. She has also received the Volunteer of the Year award.
All Sports Association (ASA) Awards Banquet
Titan Technologies has been a corporate sponsor for this event for nearly 20 years, supporting the efforts of a local non-profit group that awards scholarships to local students for athletic and scholastic performance. This annual banquet raises money through sponsorships, raffles. and auctions to fund scholarships and donations to four local charities.
In addition, Titan Technologies contributes to various local golf tournaments that raise funds for local schools, and sponsors community and OCSD cheer, baseball, and softball teams.
For the past 28 years, Titan Technologies has executed all major capital construction programs for OCSD as their Total Program Manager. Over this period, we have been responsible for the design and construction of projects valued at over $500 million, including five new schools, 1 million square feet of roof replacement work, and hundreds of new classrooms. This work was completed utilizing local architects, engineers, and contractors.
